Waste Disposal & Recycling

Disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (in accordance with the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act—ElektroG)

Electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with household waste. Consumers are legally required to place waste electrical and electronic equipment in separate collection systems.

Waste electrical and electronic equipment from private households can be dropped off free of charge at municipal collection points in cities and towns.

Old devices may contain personal data. Consumers are therefore responsible for deleting all personal data before returning or disposing of them.

As a manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment, we are duly registered (WEEE Reg. No.: DE 79711225) and fulfill our obligations under the ElektroG through the responsible registration authority, the EAR Foundation.

The symbol of a crossed-out wheeled trash can indicates that the device in question must be disposed of separately from household waste at the end of its useful life.

Disposal of Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries (in accordance with the Battery Act – BattG)

Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.

Consumers are legally required to place used batteries and rechargeable batteries in a separate collection system. Batteries and rechargeable batteries must—to the extent technically possible and reasonable— be removed from the device before disposal and disposed of separately.

Used batteries and rechargeable batteries can be returned free of charge at municipal collection points or at retail stores.

Batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the chemical symbols

Pb (lead), Cd (cadmium), or Hg (mercury).

We are registered in accordance with the Battery Act (Batt-Reg. No.: DE 78403172) and participate in an approved take-back system for batteries and rechargeable batteries.

Disposal of Used Light Bulbs

Light bulbs must not be disposed of with household trash.

Consumers are required to place used light bulbs in a separate collection. Disposal can be done free of charge at municipal collection points.

If lamps contain batteries or rechargeable batteries, the guidelines for disposing of batteries and rechargeable batteries also apply. These should be removed—if possible—before disposal and disposed of separately.

Disposal of Packaging (in accordance with the Packaging Act – VerpackG)

The sales and shipping packaging we use is part of a recycling system.

Consumers can dispose of the packaging after use through the respective collection systems, in particular via:

  • Yellow bag / Yellow bin
  • Recycled paper bin
  • Glass recycling bin

We are registered in the LUCID packaging registry (registration number: DE3294925681903) and fulfill our obligations under the Packaging Act through our participation in an approved dual system (Der Grüne Punkt).
