The Campnetic sandboards and the holder are considered to be cargo on the vehicle according to §22 StVZO. This means that they do not require separate approval as long as they are properly secured. Proper load securing and use are the responsibility of the vehicle owner and driver. We also offer a special security device for the sandboards, which offers additional protection against theft and while driving. In terms of functionality, the whole thing is similar to magnetic roof racks for skis or snowboards, which are also considered cargo. Make sure that the sandboards are securely mounted to prevent them from slipping or falling. We accept no liability for improper use.

Do the sandboards or the mount fit my vehicle?

Yes, you can easily check whether the sandboards and brackets fit your vehicle. You can find the exact dimensions of the magnets' contact surface on this page or directly on the product page. Make sure that the surface on which the magnets rest is magnetic and as flat as possible so that the adhesive force is optimally applied. Up to what speed can the sandboards hold?

Yes, we have tested the sandboards and the universal mount on numerous off-road trips and they hold up.

Is there any theft protection?

Yes, we offer a specially designed lock for the Campnetic Sandboards with a magnetic holder that provides additional protection against theft. The lock ensures that the sandboards stay firmly in place and cannot be easily removed.

We would also like to stress that we have already driven over 50,000 km with the sandboards and the magnetic mount, often in urban areas where our bus was parked. During this time, the sandboards have never been stolen - probably because many people do not know that they are magnetic. The strong magnetic force of the mount ensures that it stays securely in place, and the magnetic attachment is often not recognized as such by thieves.

Can I also use the mount for other off-road equipment?

The holder is designed specifically for sandboards, but in principle it can also be used for other flat, magnetic equipment if it has the right dimensions and a magnetic support surface. For example, the holder also works for ramp wedges.

Can I just buy the holder for the sandboards with magnetic holder?

We only offer the holder for the sandboards with magnetic fastening in conjunction with the Campnetic sandboards. This ensures that the fit and hold are optimally guaranteed.

Can I use the mount or sandboards in rain or snow?

Yes, the mount is suitable for use in all weather conditions. The magnets are robust and weatherproof, so you can safely use the sandboards in rain, snow or other weather conditions. And the sandboards are suitable for all weather conditions anyway.

How quickly can I assemble or disassemble the sandboards?

Do the sandboards also stick to vehicles with foil on them?

To achieve the best possible adhesive force, the contact surface should be clean and free of dirt and we recommend making sure that the foil adheres well. Can the paint get scratched?
