Safety Notice – Installation on Moving Body Parts (Doors):
The magnetic mounting is designed to provide a secure hold while the vehicle is in motion. When mounted on moving body parts (e.g., rear, sliding, or swing doors), rapid or forceful closing can cause sudden load spikes and resonance vibrations, which may result in a temporary loss of holding force. These short-term impact loads generally do not occur in this form, even during rough off-road driving. As a result, the mount (especially when fitted with wedges) may come loose in some cases.
Recommendation: For wheel chocks up to approx. 1.8 kg per wedge (e.g., Thule Levelers), one mount per leveler is sufficient. For heavier wedges or if the mount is attached to moving body panels, we recommend two mounts per wedgeto increase stability and holding force.
Regardless, we recommend removing the wedges before closing the door to prevent sudden stress on the mounting bracket.
