The original MAXTRAX MKII sandboards are globally proven recovery boards that offer reliable traction in sand, snow, or mud and quickly get you out of stuck situations. Made from UV-stabilized, reinforced nylon, they stand out for their high durability and longevity.

In addition, our specially developed Campnetic magnetic mount securely attaches your MAXTRAX boards to your vehicle and keeps them within easy reach—without any drilling or screws. Made of durable steel and equipped with extremely strong, rubber-coated magnets, the mount protects your paint and keeps the sand plates securely in place even under the toughest off-road conditions.

This set offers you maximum flexibility: You can mount the boards anywhere on your campervan, van, or off-road vehicle—whether at the front, back, or side. The magnetic mount stays attached to the vehicle, while you can remove the sandboards quickly and easily.

MAXTRAX sand plates are built for real off-road adventures and can withstand a lot. They’re a lifeline when things get dicey off-road—but they’re not meant to serve as a permanent traction surface under spinning wheels. Under extreme conditions, wear and tear may therefore occur. So avoid going full throttle and letting the wheels spin. Spinning wheels generate extreme heat, which can cause the teeth on the boards to melt or break off. Sandboards damaged by spinning wheels are excluded from the warranty or return policy.

Under §22 of the StVO, this product is considered cargo on the vehicle. The vehicle owner and driver are responsible for securing and using the cargo properly. We assume no liability for improper use.

Do the sandboards stay in place whilst you’re riding?
Yes.

Do the magnets scratch the paintwork?
All Campnetic magnets are coated with a special rubberised finish to provide the best possible protection for your paintwork. Provided the paintwork and the magnet are clean, you shouldn’t expect the magnet itself to cause any scratches.

Can I secure the brackets to prevent theft?
Yes. We offer a Fuse for our products.

How do I remove the magnets from the vehicle?
You can simply fold down the magnets or the bracket.
